To Apply

Submit a brief proposal of no more than 500 words on institutional stationary (typically a university), describing the intended project, including a description of the project, its objectives and significance, the qualifications of the individuals concerned, and the amount of the grant sought, from both The Pioneer Fund, and from other sources of support. We can always ask for more information if needed.

Because of our very limited resources, we are particularly concerned not to duplicate the efforts of the larger granting agencies, nor to double-fund projects with other organizations. We are, therefore, quite unlikely to fund projects that the usual government agencies and foundations already support. An examination of the Grantees webpage and our other sites provides an overview of our interests and the topics we are most likely to fund.
